MEMBERSHIP INFO

Membership to Winding Trails Recreation Association is limited. The following information is for the benefit of all members. Please abide by these guidelines in order to keep you in good standing as a member.

Park Hours

Memorial Day - Labor Day Hours are 8:00a.m. - 8:00p.m.

Swim Hours are 10:00a.m. - 7:30p.m.

All Other Hours are 9:00a.m. - dusk

Membership Stickers

A copy of your vehicle registration(s) is required to obtain stickers. Please mail a copy of your registration(s) to the main office along with the completed application. Should you purchase a new car in the future, be sure to send in a copy of the registration form for the new vehicle. All stickers must be affixed to the front, driver’s side windshield for admission into the park. Please adhere sticker(s) immediately to the proper vehicle(s). There will be a fee of $25.00 for the replacement of a lost sticker. If you change cars or repair a windshield, peel the sticker off with a razor blade and return it to the Main Office for a replacement to avoid the lost sticker charge. Anyone misusing stickers will immediately lose all membership privileges and no refund will be given. License plate numbers will be written on the stickers. Make sure you apply the sticker to the corresponding vehicle.

Gatehouse

Please come to a complete stop at the entrance gate. Membership will be verified and, if necessary, guest fees collected. To enable access to the park to run smoothly and quickly, please help the Gate Attendant by having the correct guest fees available. Vehicle owners with tinted glass should roll-down the windows to enable the gate attendant to accurately count family usage.

Guest Policies

Guests must accompany members into the park. Guest Fees will be collected at the Gate. The fee of $6.00 per adult and $4.00 per child ages 3 through 15 years old will be charged.

Members will be able to purchase discount guest passes at the Main Office and Gate. Books of 10 children’s passes will be on sale for $30.00 and books of 10 adults’ passes will be available for $50.00. Regular guest fees will prevail at the gate unless the discount passes are purchased in advance. Guest passes may be purchased through the mail. Guest passes do not apply to Cross Country Ski Trail Passes. Guest passes have no expiration date.

Sanitary Health Practices

All babies/toddlers must wear water diapers. No disposable diapers in the lake. Diaper changing stations are provided in both sides of the bathhouse and near the playscapes. Winding Trails offers water diapers for sale at the Retail Shop. There should be no diaper changing on the beach or on the picnic tables.

No Pets

Winding Trails is a wildlife preserve. To protect the wildlife and each member’s rights, we insist that no pets are allowed on the property.

Parking Policies

Parking for guests is limited to the roadside before the gatehouse. Please inform your guests of this policy prior to arrival.

Parking for all members is limited to the parking lots. No parking is allowed on grassy areas or alongside roadways. This creates dangerous situations especially with the camp buses.

Walkers/Bikers should use the main gate and will be permitted in the park only if they can provide identification as members. The Gate Attendant will verify membership.

Speed Limit

Speed limit within the park is 15 mph. The park road is used by members for walking, biking and rollerblading. Please be aware.

We are here to enforce these policies for the benefit of all the members. Please be patient and understanding as the staff does its job. If you have any questions, Scott Brown, the Executive Director, will be happy to discuss them with you. Please feel free to call (860) 677-8458.
