Members will be given a two-week priority for program registration. However, some programs may be opened to non-members at a higher fee to support the class. Please contact the main office to see if a specific program will be available to non-members.

Women’s High Ropes Day

Gather your girl friends! Spend 4 hours walking across cable bridges, climb up ropes, climb through tires, maneuver around logs, climb up, in and over a canoe, negotiate a giant’s ladder and swing from 50 feet. Registration is required three days prior to the start of each session.

ADULT KAYAK LESSONS
Extended Intro to Kayak

For those who want a more in-depth start, or a tune-up of basic skills. This 3 hour course will cover the material from the Intro to Kayak course plus practical car topping techniques, efficient edged (leaned) turns and combination strokes and actual basic capsize and recovery skills. Registration is required three days prior to the start of each session.

Touring Basics

Learn how to utilize the full range of kayak strokes in a touring kayak including adaptations for various wind conditions. Learn to use the characteristics of the boat itself to aid in both tracking and turning. Be able to control and maneuver the touring kayak in currents caused by tides. We recommend taking the Intro to Kayak class before proceeding to the Touring Techniques class. Registration is required three days prior to the start of each session.

Eskimo Rolling

Learn to roll a capsized kayak upright in seconds. Individual instruction in a class setting with a patient teacher who will completely support your learning. Small steps, proven techniques—usually this skill takes two or more sessions to learn. Nose clips required. Registration is required three days prior to the start of each session.

Intro to Kayak

This is the best place to start kayaking. At the end of this course you should be able to paddle safely in protected waters. Easiest to paddle recreational kayaks are used. You will learn: boat design and materials, as well as the differences between paddles, clothing & equipment. Learn to adjust the boat for a comfortable fit paddling forward and backward, turning and sideways maneuvers. You will also learn braces as a method to prevent capsizing and what to do in the event of capsize. Registration is required three days prior to the start of each session.

Martial Arts for Adults

Attention adults: the Taekwondo program needs you. Martial arts training should not be a program you just consider for your children. The Taekwondo program offers you a consistent year round workout that will keep you in shape all year, and at the same time you can learn to defend yourself. When you are fit and confidence this motivates you to perform effectively in any endeavor.

Need some motivation? Hire a personal trainer to assist you and get the right exercise program. Come to Winding Trails and enjoy a private and comfortable setting while your working out. We work with all fitness levels and ages. We have over ten years of experience in personal training and nutrition programming. Lemond Indoor Cycling

Looking for a great cardio workout? Spinning offers the calorie burning, energy enhancing, stress decreasing overall workout that is easy on the joints. Indoor cycling allows you the opportunity to work hard and have fun while you spin to your favorite tunes. You provide comfortable workout attire, sneakers or SPD compatible shoes, H2O, towel and desire. 15 openings per class time. First come first serve basis.

Pilates Plus

Do you want longer, leaner muscles? Better posture? Come join us for Stott Pilates. Stott Pilates is a form of total body-strengthening and conditioning exercise that initiates from your “core, powerhouse and middle”, working all of your muscles from head to toe. Pilates is a stress relieving way to achieve and maintain optimal fitness and well being. You provide comfortable workout attire, H2O, towel, mat and desire.

Due to the continuous nature of the class we ask that you call the instructor for a “clinic” prior to taking your first class (255-7410) This allows the class to flow uninterrupted for all levels i.e. Beginners, intermediate and advanced participants.

“Cardio Sculpt”

After two years of listening to the members this class has been designed to fill the wants, need and desires. 45 minutes of running or walking on the trails followed by 45 minutes of resistance training and ending with stretches to enhance flexibility - In just 90 minutes you have given your body everything it needs - Voila … cardio, strength and flexibility!
