Theme Park Member Discounts
Winding Trails is happy to announce special discounted tickets for our members at two great theme parks. Breakfast & Fun with Peter Rabbit

60th Annual Children’s Fishing Derby
Get your casting arms ready! Children ages 5 to 15 are eligible to participate in this awesome annual event. Prizes will be awarded in two age groups and several different categories. Prizes in past derby’s have included a bike, fishing rods and reels, camping gear, tackle boxes, and more. Registration will be handled at the event upon arrival.

I’m a New Member…Now What?
Join us for an afternoon of exploration about everything that Winding Trails has to offer you. Learn how to get the most out of your membership and find out about all of the great opportunities that await you. You will learn about our history, our future, where your money goes, program registration, guest policies, special events and programs, summer day camp, our cross country ski center, and much more. Take a guided tour of the facility, meet some of the parks key staff members and ask any questions you may have. This is a great orientation event for any new member or just a great opportunity for returning members to learn more about the facility. There is no fee for this event and light refreshments will be served. Pre-Registration is required three days prior to start of program.

13th Annual Winding Trails Fat Tire Classic
Winding Trails, Inc. is proud to be a part of the Root 66 Northeast XC Mountain Bike Race Series. This series consists of 15 NORBA sanctioned events held at different venues around New England. All levels of riders are encouraged to pre-register. The 5 mile loop is designed on Winding Trails’ 12.5 mile trail system and includes wide-open trails, hills, and turns combined with sections of technical single track. Beginner, sport, expert, and pro classes will run with a variety of age groups. Distances will vary according to each class. There will also be a special First Timers’ Race (Just one lap) and a free short kids’ race. Call 677-8458 or visit our website for race flyer and registration.

Family High Ropes Day
Bring the entire family out for a fun filled day! Family members will walk across cable bridges, climb up ropes, climb through tires, maneuver around logs, climb up, in and over a canoe, negotiate a giant’s ladder, swing from 50 feet, and jump into the abyss. Through this, your family will have the opportunity to overcome personal fears: develop new self-confidence and trust. Registration is required two days prior to the start of each session.

Touch-A-Truck Day
Mark your calendar for this popular event made possible due to the generosity of local companies and agencies. You may see fire trucks, rescue vehicles, garbage trucks, backhoes, dump trucks, and many more. We also hope to have Life-star again this year. If you or your company has a truck that would be perfect for this event and you want it to be included, call our office at 677-8458. Several toy trucks will be raffled off at the end of the day with raffle money going towards camperships. Refreshments will be available for a nominal fee.

Play & Stay Overnight
This program provides you and your family the opportunity to spend some quality time together. Make memories your kids will cherish forever while enjoying dozens of activities and camping out at Winding Trails. Activities available include soccer, basketball, hiking, baseball, boating, archery and more. You bring the tent, sleeping bags and toiletries and we will do the rest! This is a very popular program so early registration is advised. A BBQ on Friday night (6:30pm-7:30pm) and a continental breakfast on Saturday morning (7:00am8:30am) are included. Registration is required three days prior to start of event. Please note: the availability of archery and boating are based on certified staff availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Winding Trails Tri-Training Series
The weekly triathlon series will run on Tuesday evenings at Winding Trails. This year’s series will consist of a 1/4-mile swim or kayak in Dunning Lake, a 8k trail ride (you must use a hybrid or off-road bike for the biking portion of the race), and a 5K-trail run through our beautiful woods. All ability levels are encouraged to come out and train in this friendly and fun environment.

Summer Kickoff
Start the summer off sizzling. Enjoy the sounds of summer provided by our DJ and dance away the night in the evening breeze at the beach. WINDING TRAILS BLOOD DRIVE
Winding Trails in cooperation with the American Red Cross will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on June 5th at Garmany Hall between the hours of 1:00pm and 6:00pm. During the summer months, there is a critical need for blood in the State of Connecticut. Those 17 years of age and older in good health and who weigh at least 110 llbs. or more are eligible to donate blood. Specific information can be found at www.bloodct.org or by calling the Charter Oak Chapter of American Red Cross at 1-800-448-3543 or by calling Winding Trails at 677-8458. Participants are encouraged to make an appointment by calling or stopping in at Winding Trails or the Charter Oak Chapter of American Red Cross.
Water Carnival
When it comes to celebrating summer nothings better then a water carnival. Enjoy all your favorite water games as we splash our way into fun! A DJ will add a touch of tropical music while we beat the heat! Register by Monday, July 2nd.
